Our Mission

The Department of Musicology aims to provide students with a broad music education, to enable them to access in-depth knowledge in the field of music from an interdisciplinary perspective and to encourage them to contribute to the world of music by equipping them with creative thinking, critical analysis and aesthetic evaluation skills. Our department aims to provide students with a well-rounded perspective by offering a comprehensive curriculum that covers the history, theory, analysis and cultural context of music. At the same time, it encourages students to evaluate music within social, cultural and historical contexts and aims to provide students with the skills to communicate effectively in these contexts. Our mission is to prepare students for the rich world of music and guide them to artistic, academic and professional success.
